For the treatment and prevention of most headaches and migraines. You do not have to know what kind of headaches you get. This 30 minute treatment has been documented since 2006 to help nearly every kind of headache. 
By exploring causes and combining regular treatment with a few simple at home actions, numerous patients have experienced a reduction in frequency, duration and intensity of migraines, tension and stress head aches, and even cluster head aches. In cases documented for insurance, my patients have reported an average quality of life improvement of 4 points or more on a scale of 1-10, in a 6 week treatment period.

Headache treatment

Integrated Massage and Bodywork is a mix of modalities and styles that is specifically adapted for each patient. It draws on a wide variety of techniques and each session is different to best suit the current moment and changing condition of the individual.

Integrated Bodywork  and Massage Therapy

A very gentle form of bodywork that is helpful for patients diagnosed with forms of Edema, Lymphedema, and Lipedema. MLD can relieve pain, pressure, and fluid retention caused by these and other conditions.

*These health conditions must be diagnosed or ruled out by your medical provider and a written release to receive massage of any kind is required when intended as treatment.

Gentle stimulation and clearing of the lymph nodes and thoracic ducts, is accompanied by gentle skin brushing and light stretching and pressure along the lymphatic highway of the body. The use of a skin brush is optional by request for this session.

This modality is also helpful for boosting immunity (before you get sick), or when experiencing a slow recovery after injury.

MLD  Manual Lymphatic Drainage

Essential oils have a long history of helping patients with a variety of psycho-emotional ailments from coping with grief, to aiding in relaxation and stress relief, to improving memory, communication, and concentration.

Choose from one of several prepared blends I have on hand. This add-on gives something extra to your session, and can help you to unwind or rev up.  When aromatherapy is added to your bodywork session, it will be delivered in 3 different ways during the session, such as Lotion, spritz and scented face cradle.

If you want to schedule a consultation for a personal blend, that is a separate service.

add Aromatherapy

Cupping has been around for thousands of years and traces its roots to ancient Chinese and Egyptian medicine.  Cupping was documented in one of the oldest medical textbooks in the world, Ebers Papyrus, which was written in 1550 BC.  

Cupping helps to mobilize and release deeper adhesions, trigger points, and "knots" by discharging the micro toxins that have accumulated in the deeper muscle fibers.  Micro toxins are a byproduct of the body living with prolonged pain. This often results in areas of reduced function within a muscle that cannot be released by massage alone.

Drinking plenty of water to flush the system is an important part of any therapeutic body work, and with this treatment even more so. Cupping usually feels great and can be very effective. But it often leaves visible suction bruises for a week or more, and you may feel unexpectedly tired afterwards. 

If you choose this add -on it will take up about 12-15 minutes of your session.

Count to Zen:  Body Mind balance with Reiki Seichim

This Body Mind Balance treatment, is particularly effective for those that are energetically sensitive, or are strongly affected by "vibes" around them.  

Relax onto the heated table, as somatic techniques stimulate the hemispheric re-calibration of the brain.  This holistic treatment begins with breath work. Safe, gentle touches to the body, help guide your focus through out the session.  As you breathe and let go, the aura (electromagnetic field of the body) is balanced with Reiki Sechim (an energetic healing modality that flows through the attuned practitioner). Think of Reiki as the feeling and the energy of Universal love and Well being.

 This treatment also uses various techniques drawn from Cranio-sacral, and Polarity therapies, guided visualization and carefully selected chakra stones.

Count to Zen Reiki with Chakras

A relaxing, hydrating face masque, with a wonderful neck and shoulder massage. Next, Japanese-style face massage will invigorate and improve the circulation and tightness of the skin.

Japanese Style Masque & massage

Full body massage with hot (or cold) stones to soothe sore muscles and introduce deep heat with each stroke.  A popular spa treatment for exquisite pampering.
