MLD Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Description
A very gentle form of bodywork that is helpful for patients diagnosed with forms of Edema, Lymphedema, and Lipedema. MLD can relieve pain, pressure, and fluid retention caused by these and other conditions. *These health conditions must be diagnosed or ruled out by your medical provider and a written release to receive massage of any kind is required when intended as treatment. Gentle stimulation and clearing of the lymph nodes and thoracic ducts, is accompanied by gentle skin brushing and light stretching and pressure along the lymphatic highway of the body. The use of a skin brush is optional by request for this session. This modality is also helpful for boosting immunity (before you get sick), or when experiencing a slow recovery after injury.
